The Africa Trade Summit 2026 concluded in Accra with a call for coordinated action to finance industrialisation, deepen regional value chains and translate the African Continental Free Trade Area into practical economic opportunity.
Convened by the African Trade Chamber in partnership with the Government of Ghana, the Summit brought together policymakers, business leaders, investors, development finance institutions and other partners.
Discussions addressed the practical foundations of industrial transformation, including mining and strategic resources, agro-processing and food systems, pharmaceutical manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, trade connectivity, investment and inclusive industrial growth.
Across the programme, a consistent message emerged: market integration cannot be separated from production, infrastructure, finance and institutional execution.
The Summit concluded with the Africa Trade Awards Gala, placing recognition alongside the wider policy and enterprise conversation.
Together, the Summit and Awards established a platform concerned not only with what Africa intends to achieve, but with the institutions, investments and leaders already building the systems required to achieve it.
