The Africa Trade Awards 2026 concluded in Accra with the recognition of individuals, enterprises, institutions and major initiatives whose work has materially influenced Africa's trade and industrial development.
Held as the closing highlight of the Africa Trade Summit, the Awards Gala brought together senior government officials, business leaders, development finance institutions and regional bodies around a central principle: recognition should reflect demonstrated contribution and delivered outcomes.
The 2026 honours were organised across five tiers spanning continental leadership, industry and strategic value chains, markets and enterprise, trade policy and systems, and distinguished recognition.
Among those recognised were Prof. Benedict Oramah, Afreximbank, the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, Elsewedy Electric, Aspen Pharmacare, Bakhresa Group, OCP Group, Africa Global Logistics, Flutterwave, Rwanda, Trade and Development Bank, Ethiopian Airlines, Patricia Poku-Diaby, the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS), and Gervais Koffi Djondo.
The recipients reflected the breadth of systems required for African trade to function — from industrial production and energy to finance, logistics, aviation, payment infrastructure and institutional leadership.
The Awards reinforced the wider message of the Africa Trade Summit: Africa's trade and industrial transformation depends on sustained execution, coordination and institutions capable of turning continental ambition into operating systems.
