A strong Africa Trade Awards nomination begins with a simple question: what changed because of this work?
The 2027 recognition cycle is designed to identify contributions with demonstrable relevance to African trade, industrialisation and economic integration.
A nomination should therefore go beyond reputation, job title or general statements of achievement.
It should explain the contribution made, the problem addressed, the result achieved and the evidence available to support that account.
Four considerations are particularly important: measurable contribution, continental or market relevance, integrity and governance, and sustained impact.
Evidence may take different forms depending on the contribution. What matters is that claims can be assessed and, where necessary, independently checked.
Individuals, enterprises, institutions and qualifying initiatives may represent very different forms of achievement. The purpose of the nomination is therefore not to make every nominee look the same, but to establish clearly why the contribution matters.
